These merino wool blend hoodies are ideal for keeping the sun off year-round, and feature a deep hood, casual fit, and come in this solid green color.
The Alpine Sun Hoodie is made from Polartec© Powerwool™ fabric, which provides UPF 30 sun protection and takes advantage of the properties of both natural (30% merino wool) and synthetic fibers to optimize performance. The merino wool interior provides softness, odor resistance, and moisture-wicking, while the synthetic exterior provides durability, breathability, and the ability to spread moisture for faster evaporation.
Note on fabric weight: Isn’t wool meant for cold?! Yes, it often is, but it also performs amazingly in warmer temps and resists odors better than any synthetic! Though perhaps not a layer for hot days in the desert (we're making one for that!), these will be ideal above tree-line, along the coast, and on any adventure where breathability, coverage, and all-day comfort matter most!
